![]() It also comes optics ready but you lose the rear dove tail so it’s not co-witness capable yet. I mentioned the fiber optic sights, which are adjustable and very nice at the range. I am hoping third party companies jump on this opportunity. All good qualities but the trigger is one area that needs an upgrade. The take up is short and the break is clean. The trigger comes with two interchangeable faces, one straight and one curved. It is suppressor ready with an included adapter. The barrel is 4” and is fixed in the frame. Fit and finish all the way around seems very nice. The grip looks upgradeable but there aren’t any options yet. The mag well is funneled for easy insertion. The grip is comfortable all the way around and the stippling on the grip is excellent all the way around. The slide lock only works on mine from the right-hand side. The take down lever feels (and is) plasticy. Is it quality? Only long term will decide. Honestly my first impression is that it feels like an airsoft gun someone converted to a 22. By comparison, the Sig feels cheaply made. This is a very lightweight gun at 17.1 oz! For reference, my Neos weights in a 36.2 oz and the 87 Target is a hefty 43 oz. The Sig P322 looks, well, like a Sig! There is nothing really to distinguish it at a distance from a P320 or P365 other than the fiber optic front sights. Keep in mind this is a first impressions of both of them as I’ve only had one range day with the Taurus and two with the Sig. Why two guns so quickly? Well, honestly, I thought if I didn’t like one, selling the other shouldn’t be a problem, especially with the Sig so I took my chances. What a very cool looking gun! And it felt great in the hand and I like customizing my gun and there are plenty of options for the TX22 so I took the jump as well on it and picked it up 4 days later. While I was there, I saw the Tauris TX22 Competition in stock and asked to see it. I went and picked it up the following Monday. So, I decided to give the Sig P322 a shot and bought it on a Thursday. Its optics ready, suppressor ready (even though I can’t use one here in Illinois) and stellar reviews exalting its accuracy and reliability, what’s not to love? It surpassed the TX22 by holding 20 to 25 rounds. After reading and seeing a number of reviews on the Sig P322, it seemed like the perfect sport 22lr handgun. My regular shooters are a Beretta Neos and a Beretta 87 Target I’ve read and seen reviews of the TX22 for a while now but never quite pulled the trigger on one, mostly due to Taurus reputation when it comes to quality. ![]() 22’s, I’ve owned Walthers, Berettas and Tippmanns (If you are looking for an AR style 22, you own it to yourself to look at this gun!). I’m an average shooter who hits the range once a week to once every two weeks. I prefer 22lr for its inexpensive and just plain fun qualities. To put my background into perspective, I’m recreational shooter, shooting a mix of 22lr. I bought them both within days of each other. This my first impressions overview of the Sig Sauer P322 vs. ![]()
